PAES around the world

Students in Leeds, in Canada, and in Northern Mariana Islands are working real jobs in PAES Labs today. The tasks stay the same. The scoring stays the same. The report maps to your country's framework, whatever it is. If you want to bring PAES to your students, talk to us.

How a partnership works

Whether you run a specialist college in Leeds, a school district in Ontario, or a program somewhere we haven't reached yet, opening a PAES market follows the same three conversations.

Talk to us

You tell us about your market, your students, and the framework you're inspected or funded against. We listen before we propose anything.

We map PAES to your framework

The assessment itself never changes. We show you exactly how it lines up with your statutory or funding framework: EHCPs, provincial special-education rules, whatever governs your market.

We install and train

The lab goes in, your team is trained on the equipment and the scoring model, and your first assessment cycle starts on schedule.

Where PAES is live today

For more than 35 years, students across the United States have shown what they can do in a PAES Lab: 2,100+ labs across 40+ states. Now schools and workforce programs in other countries are asking the same question. How do you prove a student is ready for work? We answer it the same way everywhere: real jobs, real evidence, a report educators can act on.

United Kingdom
Live at Lighthouse Futures Trust in Leeds, a specialist college for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, aged 16 to 25. PAES sits inside their study program and supported internship pathway.
Canada
Active customer contracts in Canada. The PAES model plugs into provincial special education frameworks and disability-employment services contracts.
Northern Mariana Islands
Installed presence in Northern Mariana Islands schools for several years as part of US territories coverage. Operating within the US special education framework adapted for the local context.

Who we work with internationally

PAES runs in American English, and a partnership discussion is under way in the Gulf. The assessment itself never changes. What changes is the everyday detail: the plug fittings, the measurements, the currency in the cash register. We adapt those with each new partner.

If you are a potential partner, educator, or decision-maker in a market we don't yet cover, reach out. We are actively exploring partnerships with mission-led organisations that combine local mandate and operating scale with the PAES methodology, IP, and implementation playbook.

Specialist colleges and specialist post-16 institutions (SPIs)

Mainstream and special schools with SEND units or resourced provision

Local authorities commissioning SEND provision

FE colleges delivering 16–19 High Needs provision

International schools with SEN / inclusion depts

Government agencies exploring vocational reform

Non-profits delivering disability-employment pathways

Designed to fit UK statutory frameworks

PAES evidence can support the vocational profiling and preparation-for-adulthood planning that UK providers already run.

SEND code of practice 0–25
The Code requires transition planning from Year 9. PAES provides the structured evidence base that EHCP annual reviews and transition update meetings depend on.
16–19 study programs
Meaningful work-related learning is a Study Program requirement. PAES fits directly into the program structure and can underwrite Study Program compliance documentation.
Wales ALN and Scotland ASL
PAES outputs support Individual Development Plans (IDPs) under Wales's ALN framework and Scotland's Additional Support for Learning planning on the same basis as EHCPs.

Case study: Lighthouse Futures Trust

Lighthouse Futures Trust is a specialist college in Leeds for SEND learners. In 2025 they became the first UK site to install a PAES Lab. The lab now underwrites Lighthouse's 16 to 19 Study Program and supported internship pathway. Outputs feed into EHCP reviews, annual transition planning, and family conversations.
